Extreme heat led to the rescue of numerous animals from a garage. A total of 19 animals were found, including 17 dogs in poor conditions. These dogs were in cages contaminated with waste.

The group of dogs included breeds that struggle with heat. Two reptiles were also rescued, one being an alligator. Officials noted that the garage was not suitable for the animals during high temperatures.

Further information about the rescue and the condition of the animals is available from the Houston SPCA, who assisted with the response along with Harris County Constable Precinct 1 deputies.
