A preseason game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the New England Patriots was marked by an injury to Eagles running back Ja'Quinden Jackson. Jackson was hurt on the opening kickoff and taken off the field in an ambulance. He had been part of the kickoff team and made a tackle before lying motionless.

Medical personnel from both teams attended to him, and he was eventually strapped onto a stretcher and loaded into the ambulance. The Eagles announced that Jackson has strength and movement in all extremities. He was taken to a hospital for further evaluation.

Further details about his condition are available from the team.
